The future of play is evolving. Our latest programme blends imagination with technology to create learning experiences that are fun, educational and empowering!

Robo Playground offers children the tools to explore and create. By combining hands-on learning with the thrill of play, we’re not just preparing them for the future – we’re empowering them to shape it.

Through robotics, animation, interactive games and sound effects, they will develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world, all while having a blast!

Curriculum Approach 

  • By blending play with learning, we ensure that each session is both educational and exciting.
  • Students will explore a variety of fascinating themes, such as Eco Guardians and Animal Kingdoms.
  • These topics will come to life through robots, animation, games, and sound effects. 
  • Tailored for preschoolers, our curriculum simplifies complex concepts and includes hands-on, interactive activities that make learning both fun and effective.
  • Duration: 1 hour once a week
  • Age: 5 and 6

Curriculum Objectives

Crafted to inspire creativity in young minds, our programme aims to equip children with next-generation knowledge and skills, while igniting their curiosity about the world around them.

Our curriculum seeks to enable children to:

  • Develop an interest in science, technology, engineering, animation and math (STEAM)
  • Build small-scale Lego robots from scratch and understand the mechanics of building
  • Improve logical thinking and sequencing skills by programming the robots to move and complete given tasks
  • Enhance creativity by using simple animation to develop interactive stories
  • Explore different sound effects and use these to bring stories to life
  • Nurture problem-solving skills by taking on different challenges and devising solutions
  • Engage in cooperative learning, by working in pairs or small groups

Programme Outline

Robo Playground brings together the best of our popular Lego Robotics as well as Coding and Animation programmes and takes it to the next level by introducing children to the exciting world of game and audio design.

  • Build small-scale robots from scratch
  • Understand the basics of coding and programme the robots to move
  • Learn to modify robots and devise solutions to given challenges
  • Use imagination to design and create unique robots
  • Learn the basics of animation using ScratchJr, a visual programming language
  • Create different characters and backgrounds
  • Experiment with timings, transitions, repeating sequences and trigger actions
  • Develop simple animated stories
  • Experiment and create different sound effects based on specific topics
  • Design and customise interactive games, using block-based coding
